Context

Waves 1 to 3 left several ADRs from the first pass at Proposed. A Proposed page reads as a rule the reader cannot be sure of, and a reader cannot tell which Proposed pages bind. The owner asked for them to be settled (open decision OR1 a, memory L336). This record settles each one. It changes statuses only. The bodies of the pages it names are not edited.

Decision

  1. Accepted as they stand. 0059, 0079, 0083 and 0084 move from Proposed to Accepted. Their descriptions change to Accepted · 2026-10-20.
  2. Already Accepted, confirmed here. 0080 (with 0192), 0082 (with 0135), 0099, 0100 and 0101 keep their status. No change is made to them.
  3. 0061 stays Proposed. 0061 is accepted once the Xcode 26 build has been checked on a machine that has it. Until then it is a proposal.
  4. 0018 is superseded. 0018 is a reading list that points at earlier repositories, not a rule. Its one rule (decision 1: a design decision is written as an ADR in the same change that creates its package) is stated here as it stands, so no rule is lost.
  5. 0064 stays unused. The number was never assigned. The index records it as unused, and no page is written under it.

Consequences

  • After this record, no ADR in the index is Proposed except 0061.
  • The index table shows the new statuses, and 0018 points to this page.
