Amends decision 6 of 0116. Corrects its “Pro and
later” placement (contradiction C-19).
Context
0116 (Accepted) made tenant content types a Pro feature, later. The owner’s content answer (mem L733, 2026-10-20) moves them to day one, as data only, and adds headless delivery.Decision
- Tenant types from day one. Tenants define content types at runtime. A type is data only: registered field types, validation, relations, localisation, revisions and publishing. It is stored as typed JSON with generated indexes. It holds no code and no logic.
- Business rules stay in code.
@ContentTypeis used for business rules that need code. - Headless delivery. A public REST API, a CDN with purge, signed previews, scheduled publishing, webhooks (ADR 0224) and an SDK.
Consequences
- A tenant’s new content type needs no deploy, because it is data.
- Because a type holds no code, a type cannot run anything that the platform has not reviewed.
Enforcement
planned — the validator rejects a content type that carries a function or a template expression; the preview signature test.Supersedes and sources
