# Images and embeds

> Pictures, light/dark variants and video.

Put images in `apps/docs/src/assets/assets/images/` and reference them from the site root:

```mdx theme={"system"}
![The console home page](/assets/images/console-home.png)
```

Show a different image in light and dark mode:

```mdx theme={"system"}
<img className="block dark:hidden" src="/assets/images/diagram-light.svg" alt="Package tiers" />
<img className="hidden dark:block" src="/assets/images/diagram-dark.svg" alt="Package tiers" />
```

Embed a video with a responsive iframe:

```mdx theme={"system"}
<Frame>
  <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/<id>" title="Walkthrough" allowFullScreen />
</Frame>
```

Every image needs alt text that says what it shows.
