# 0176 — The marketing site: a placeholder now, prerendered from the experience service later

> Supersedes [0057](/adr/0057-landing-is-react-router-framework-mode-on-workers). Amends decision 5
> of [0114](/adr/0114-page-builder-for-every-page) (wave 3 owns that page).

## Context

[0057](/adr/0057-landing-is-react-router-framework-mode-on-workers) (Proposed) chose a marketing stack with React Router, MDX and Sanity. [0114](/adr/0114-page-builder-for-every-page) later made the page builder build every page. The owner's answer DP25 (c then a, mem L452, 2026-10-20) sets the sequence: a placeholder now, and later pages prerendered from the Figentra OS experience service.

## Decision

1. **Now.** `apps/landing` is a placeholder landing page. It has no CMS and no MDX content pipeline.
2. **Later.** `apps/landing` prerenders its pages from the OS experience service (ADR 0110), so the page builder owns the content.
3. **Dropped.** MDX and Sanity stay dropped, as ADR 0114 decided.
4. **Skill.** The `sanity-best-practices` skill is removed, because nothing uses it (gap D).

## Consequences

* The marketing site has no content store of its own until the experience service can serve it.
* A visitor sees a placeholder until the prerender path exists. That is an accepted cost.

## Enforcement

planned — the prerender path is checked when `apps/landing` gets its first prerendered page. The skill removal is part of the `agents/skills.mdx` update (final pass).

## Alternatives

* MDX with Sanity now: rejected by DP25 and by ADR 0114.
